The other night in our extended family Facebook group message, a cousin sent a video link that said “Are you in this video?” with a broken heart after the question. Last weekend, my uncle passed away after a 7 year battle with brain cancer, so the family is scrambling to connect and collect stories that include my uncle.
In a few minutes, too many people had clicked on the link. Chaos ensued, as can only happen when the average age of the group of 50+ family members is also aged 50+.
A clear headed cousin quickly instructed the others to not click on the link. And if you had, immediately log out of all programs and devices and reset all passwords. This was sane advice, and admittedly the advice that the first cousin followed a little too late.
